The fees for an uncontested Divorce will be £300 assuming there are no unforeseen problems. In addition VAT will be payable (currently £60). The court fees are £385, which includes the Divorce Petition fee (£340) and the fee for applying for Decree Absolute (£45). The total fixed costs are £745.

The fee is payable in two installments:

1. £500 (including the first court fee of £340) payable following receipt of your full instructions.
2. £245 (which includes the second court fee of £45) payable when we apply for your Decree Nisi.

There may be additional costs of £10 if we need to obtain a copy of your marriage certificate and a fee of up to £9 when you swear your Affidavit in support of your Divorce Petition. If you swear your Affidavit at a County Court, no fee is payable.

If it becomes necessary to personally serve your Divorce Petition upon your spouse we will agree our extra costs with you and advise you of the likely enquiry agents fees.

Divorce ends your marriage: the Divorce costs set out above do not include the costs of sorting out finance or any issues with regard to your children.
